More Info
Who? Andy Warhol, Jean Michel Basquiat and Keith Haring and you the famous artists, the established artists, the working artists, the up and coming artists, the community artists, the art teachers of every age, the art students and the future artists based on the Keith Haring maxim, "Art is for Everyone!"

What? You are invited to submit three portraits, one of each of the physical likeness of the three artists, Andy Warhol, Keith... Haring and Jean Michel Basquiat that exposes their passion and soul in a medium of your choice in your individual style.

This is also an invitation to attend this historical event in person or in just supportive spirit, regardless if you are interested in participating as an artist.

Why? In addition to celebrating the lives of these modern masters and the impact these artists had on our culture, the show is a determination to foster the mentor-disciple relationship in art. Let's pass on our knowledge to future generations, seeking out the next Caravaggio, Da Vinci, Picasso, Warhol, Haring or Basquiat of our time! Let's seek our own mentors in a precious journey in creating art for this ever changing world!

How? Upon completion of your three portraits you bring or ship two of them to MENTOR DISCIPLE in Hot Springs National Park (State of Arkansas) by September 1, 2011 (Earlier if possible). You retain one of the three portraits for yourself to keep, sell or make part of your community. You price both of the other two portraits that you ship or bring to MENTOR DISCIPLE. The first of the two portraits that sell you retain 100% of the proceeds from the sale to keep or if you wish and are of means, donate to art projects for young people in your own community. The other portrait that does not sell is retained and becomes the property of MENTOR DISCIPLE and a contender to remain in the MENTOR DISCIPLE permanent collection honoring the bond between Andy Warhol and his proteges.

How do we respond to Warhol's quote, "I think having land and not ruining it is the most beautiful art that anybody could ever want to own"

What was Andy Warhol attempting to teach his young disciples before they all three passed away from this life? What was Andy Warhol's cultural message in teaming up with the African American and Puerto Rican artist Jean Michel Basquiat as the only other artist that he did any major collaborations with? What message was Andy Warhol sending in encouraging Keith Haring's populist view of art?

How will art change in a less climate controlled greener world? A world with more open windows, fresher air and more natural light or powered by alternative energy? How would Andy, Jean and Keith responded and how will you?

If you are considering being part of this historical event please select "Attending" or "Maybe Attending" and we will contact you by August, 10, 2011 on the next steps to take. Your art is important!
